POSITION SUMMARY:
Working as a part of the Kantar Insights Canada team, applies foundational market research skills to day-to-day responsibilities. In this junior role within Client Service, skills are developed and expanded through increasingly more independent work on increasingly more complex research projects.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working under supervision, and following specified instructions and established methods, main duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Research Design & Project Activation
Participate in determining appropriate research design.
Prepare background information/research for proposals and reports.
Activate projects with accounting and ensure that all accounting requirements are fulfilled.
Project Management
Provide any required direction and assistance to the Project Management team as they:
coordinate with client regarding study execution
liaise with internal departments to communicate project plan and ensure effective coordination of logistics at various stages of the study
monitor progress of project to ensure timely completion on budget
trouble shoot and problem solve where required.
Data Reporting & Analysis
Review tab specifications to generate computer data tables for studies.
Sense-check accuracy of data tables.
Provide direction and assistance to Charting/Data Design, as they prepare draft reports and presentations.
Use research industry tools to pull data for additional/ad-hoc reporting needs
Prepare reports and presentations for review, including:
pull verbatim comments
conduct preliminary analysis
draft initial commentary/headings for reports or basic data summaries and make edits based on feedback from senior staff
Attend client presentations.
Client Relations/Account Management
Support the development and maintenance of strong client relationships through attention to detailed client requirements and being proactive and responsive in any client dealings.
Support the management of client relationships and of account development by engaging in understanding client business issues and contributing to the alignment of research solutions with their marketing needs.
Collaborate with other client service team member to ensure superior account servicing.
SPECIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
University degree.
1- 2 years market research or related experience.
Understanding of research concepts and methodologies with the ability to apply identifiable functional knowledge.
Fluent English language skill, with strong oral and written communication abilities.
Highly motivated with the ability to take direction and follow-through independently.
Strong conceptual thinking skills, analytically minded, with a keen attention to detail.
Above-average organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to attract, expand and uphold client relationships.
An enthusiasm and interest in contributing to the growth of the business.
Proficient in MS Office and knowledge of SQL and PowerBI would be beneficial.

The salary range for this role in Toronto is 60,000.00 - 100,000.00 Annual CAD. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
