* This is a full-time permanent position, based in our London office. Role Description        

Kantar Media is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and service-driven professional to join our HR Operations team in the UK looking after the following countries: Denmark, Norway, Finland, Slovakia, Sweden, Germany.

This role is pivotal in delivering a seamless employee experience and ensuring compliance across multiple European countries, directly contributing to organisational effectiveness and employee engagement.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant HR service delivery, while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance employee experience

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements for all supported countries.
  • Validate and reconcile payroll data, including new starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, and statutory deductions.
  • Liaise with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless payroll delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records and ensure secure, audit-ready documentation in line with local retention legislation and company policy.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and managers, providing clear, professional, and timely support.
  • Monitor changes in payroll legislation and ensure processes are updated to remain compliant across all jurisdictions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including process maps and jurisdiction-specific requirements, to support knowledge sharing and operational consistency.


Capabilities and Experience:

  •  Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-country or shared services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Slovakia, Sweden, and Germany.
  • Advanced proficiency in payroll and HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow, ADP, or similar).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll matters clearly.
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards.
