Role Description
Excitingly Kantar Media has partnered with the MMS to build a new Cross-Media Measurement panel in Sweden, that will be one of the first of its kind in the world. We are looking for forward-thinking, diverse, and client-focused individuals to join our team and make this audience measurement panel a success for MMS and Kantar Media.
We have a vacancy for a DevOps Engineer to maintain our cloud-based systems and ensure the daily delivery of data. You will supervise and maintain daily data production operations. The systems are hosted on Azure containers and uses a range of frameworks, software, databases, and API layers.
Tasks & responsibilities
As a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer, you will ensure that the systems for producing audience data run efficiently, which will produce daily data to the Media Industry, according to the contracts and SLA’s. You will be included in exciting and large project that will be set up from scratch. Therefore, we are looking for professionals that is eager to help building this project. Using innovative tooling in an international, data driven organization.
- Manage and maintain Azure resources using Terraform scripts to host mostly internally developed custom software.
- Deploy systems using Helm charts, .yaml files, and Azure Pipelines to automate processes.
- Utilize Zabbix for monitoring cloud-based interconnected systems running 24/7, including Kubernetes, Hive, Elasticsearch, Kibana, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks such as backups, monitoring SSL certificates, and managing SAS tokens.
- Ensure systems comply with Kantar security and disaster recovery standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with the Central Cloud Architecture and Support team to learn best practices and report any issues.
Required
- Strong understanding of Azure DevOps flow from both application and infrastructure perspectives.
- Experience in cloud management, diagnostics, and monitoring with Zabbix or similar tools.
- Proficiency with Azure Services and Resources such as VMs, NSGs, VNets, Application Gateways, Firewalls, and AKS.
- Experience with containers (Kubernetes/Elastic Container Service).
- Solid knowledge of version control and branching strategies.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (Terraform deployment, pipeline creation, and troubleshooting).
- Strong Linux/Unix experience and troubleshooting skills.
- Network-level infrastructure knowledge, including security best practices.
- Good to Have Skills:
- Experience with Azure PaaS Cloud and Hive.
- Oracle and SQL Server administration and some SQL experience.
- Understanding of web core technologies (network, websites, video streaming, browsers) and TV and broadcast delivery.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) as part of a team.
