About the Project/Role

As a Control and Accounting Manager, you will support the finance team in various accounting and financial tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Job Role Requirements

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Support the preparation of year-end and interim financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting.
  • Take ownership of Irish Branch and other HQ entities from acquisition by HIG.

Balance Sheet and Reconciliations:

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and make necessary adjustments.
  • Manage Fixed Asset Register (FAR) including intangibles.
  • Review and reconcile costs capitalized and capex templates.

Accounting and Controls:

  • Review accounting and controls of stock.
  • Account for leases and property costs.
  • Document control environment and ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.

Audit and Compliance:

  • Provide information to auditors and assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Support the audit process by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.

Tax and VAT:

  • Conduct analysis for Corporation Tax.
  • Review UK VAT submissions and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Profile/Skills

  • Part or Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
