Job Title: Infrastructure & Service Operations Lead

Location: Grays Inn Road & Hanger Lane, London

Work pattern: Full time/Permanent/Office based

This is a full-time permanent position, based in our London offices across Gray’s Inn Road and Hanger Lane. This role is based in the office 5 days a week. All applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the UK.

Role Description:  

Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure & Service Delivery, Media are hiring a talented Infrastructure & Service Operations leader to act as the Lead for the UK Media business. The goal of this initiative is to establish a Media in-house service that will provide Outstanding user experience for the UK Staff as well as making sure the infrastructure governance and assurance, processes & Guidelines are operated effectively across the UK.

Key Outcomes

  • Vision to lead Infrastructure & Service Operations department For the UK that will assure and ensure agreed levels of service delivery across TS 24x7x365.
  • Delivery of a robust operations service, ensuring the continued safety of colleagues & clients
  • Ensure that Security policies and guidelines are applied to all services and adhered to. (This includes but not limited to Patching, Security tooling, Vulnerabilities)
  • Ensure The Engineers on site provide high level of Service for Clients & Employees
  • Overseeing the capability and performance levels needed to build and support best in class Service Operations team, on premise.
  • Work closely with the Global infrastructure team as well as the Global Service desk teams to create a well-established bond between teams.


Key Responsibilities
 

  • Reporting into Head of Infrastructure & Service Delivery
  • Liaising with Media Global Service Desk team as well as any Possible 3rd party Service teams.
  • Liaising with the Media Global Infrastructure Service leads to Support on site.
  • Ensure that the Media technical vision and strategy can be applied to Media Infrastructure and all environments are user friendly, supportable, secure and cost effective.
  • tracking and improving operational metrics for all IT services in UK (Service and infra) as part of comprehensive service delivery, not just technical solutions. Enabling reporting on operational performance at the most senior levels in the organisation.
  • End to end responsibility for all technology functions, including infrastructure, systems, and end-user support.
  • Ensure UK Device procurement and stock levels are managed efficiently

Key Capabilities:
 

  • Proven experience deploying and managing End user Compute (Includes but not limited to Laptop set up).
  • Proven experience deploying and managing HCI solutions, ideally Nutanix (Includes but not limited to Racking/Stacking Monitoring alerts)
  • Confident to Follow Guidance from Global networks teams to provide Hands and eyes Engineers for Network devices support
  • Managing a Team of onsite Engineers to support with on prem activities
  • Track record of developing and maintaining relationships with face-to-face Employees as well as a team of support engineers Internal & External
  • Procurement and stock Level management for All end user compute & Infrastructure within the UK (including but not limited to, Mobiles, headphones, Laptops, Simcards)
  • Ability to work effectively within a global matrix organization, build and maintain relationships at all levels (incl. Board and senior management), and build consensus across functions.
