Are we a great fit? We are looking for a Legal Counsel who…
Is Unstoppably Optimistic. Whether it’s tackling a tough legal battle or defusing a tense situation, can you turn stress into strategy and bring calmness when things heat up?
Is Boldly Original. We don’t do cookie-cutter. If you’ve got fresh ideas on shaking up how we operate and driving results, we want to hear them.
A Relentless Opportunity Seeker. When a challenge pops up, do you dive in headfirst, even when it’s outside your usual lane? If you’re all about pushing your limits, our legal team is the place for you.
Has an Ownership Mentality. You don’t just play your part; you make the team better. You take the reins and help us grow as a unit, using your strengths to fuel our collective success.
Is Growth Driven. You’re open to feedback, but you’re not afraid to push back. We value direct, constructive input, delivered with respect, and expect the same in return.
Our Legal Counsel will...
Have a primary focus on advising on employment-related matters across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, performance management, employee relations, terminations, and compliance.
Have a secondary focus on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with both our clients and our suppliers.
Collaborate with company leadership, our People Team, and business leads to understand organisational goals, translate employment law risks into practical guidance, and establish clear, scalable policies and procedures that support a positive and compliant workplace.
Continually improve our employment practices, legal operations and internal processes to support growth, mitigate legal exposure, and ensure compliance with evolving global laws.
Partner with external counsel as needed.
Have the opportunity to develop their expertise in areas of interest – we are looking for someone with a growth mindset who is keen to learn new areas of law with appropriate training and support.
A great candidate will have…
3+ years of post-qualification employment and/or commercial law experience (UK or common law), gained in-house or private practice (ideally from a large international firm/company with a global employee base).
Strong knowledge of UK employment law (including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, whistleblowing and employment tribunal procedure) and working familiarity with key global jurisdictions, particularly in EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
Experience advising on a broad range of day to day employment matters, including hiring, performance, disciplinaries, grievances, redundancy, and terminations.
Exposure to international employment issues such as cross-border transfers, expatriate arrangements, global mobility, and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
Familiarity with TUPE, works councils, collective consultation obligations, and union engagement in the UK and Europe.
Knowledge of executive employment contracts, settlement agreements, restrictive covenants, and incentive arrangements.
Understanding of employment-related aspects of corporate transactions, such as M&A, business restructures, and integration planning.
Experience negotiating and drafting a wide variety of commercial agreements.
Intellectual property and/or privacy law experience.
Fluency in legal-level English, both written and spoken.
Culturally aware and able to navigate cross-border issues with sensitivity and adaptability.
An uncanny ability to take convoluted legalese and translate it into plain English.
We as a team have a passion for learning and growing to be the best version of ourselves. Do you have strengths you can share? If so, we’d love to hear from you. We appreciate that everyone has different backgrounds and experience, so if you don’t meet all the criteria above, please don’t be deterred from applying. We could be just what you are looking for!
