About the job 

The Business Developer plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across Kantar’s Innovation solutions and expanding our presence in Market Understanding. This role is about building influence, unlocking new opportunities, and selling innovation services to existing and prospect clients. You will elevate Kantar’s position as a trusted partner for innovation and help shape the future of our Demand Growth Unit in Italy. 

Job Goals 

  • Drive commercial excellence and deliver strong financial returns.  

  • Leverage your network of senior-level contacts to accelerate business development and unlock new opportunities 

  • Accelerate the penetration of innovation and market understanding solutions.  

  • Expand relationships across client organizations to secure Kantar’s role as an indispensable partner.  

Key Responsibilities 

Client & Commercial 

  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic clients, focusing on Innovation and Market Understanding. 

  • Cross-sell innovation solutions to existing clients and open new logos through proactive outreach and personal network. 

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline aligned with revenue targets; lead proposal planning and win strategies. 

  • Engage clients through joint business planning, quarterly reviews, and consultative selling. 

  • Ensure project delivery meets client objectives and supports relationship growth. 

 

Market 

  • Act as an industry expert and leverage thought leadership to expand Kantar’s presence in Italy. 

 

Team 

  • Collaborate with the Business Developer Team, the Innovation team, the broader Demand Growth team to identify and pursue growth opportunities. 

  • Work closely with other Kantar teams (Client Service, Consulting, Analytics, Qualitative) to deliver integrated solutions. 

  • Contribute to a vibrant, inclusive culture and mentor junior colleagues. 

Ideal Skills & Capabilities 

  • Proven success in developing and growing client relationships and meeting revenue targets.  

  • Strong presence and ability to engage at senior levels (Marketing, Research, C-Suite).  

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, consultative selling, and negotiation skills.  

  • Extensive experience in related industries (insights, analytics, consulting, FMCG).  

  • Fluent in Italian and English.  

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a growth mindset and ability to influence decisions.
