Finance Executive (Accounts Payable) 

 

Role Description 

 

The Finance Executive will provide a high level of effective and efficient Accounts Payable (AP) services. The role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure payments and query resolutions are consistently delivered to a high standard. The role also requires working with relevant collaborators within Kantar and Third party vendors/suppliers. 

  

  Key Responsibilities & Capabilities:  

  • Perform AP related duties in accordance with the cyclical calendar for processing supplier invoices, employee related expense claims and payment processing 

  • Prepare Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and handle payment of suppliers in accordance with payment terms 

  • Put together monthly payment proposal for approval 

  • Respond to supplier account queries and resolve any invoice discrepancies in a professional manner 

  • Deliver a high standard of customer service to internal Kantar customers and external suppliers 

  • Produce monthly AP reconciliation reports and ensure this reconcile to supplier statements if required 

  • Assist with month end closing reports and reconciliations 

  • Audit support 

  • Identify and communicate process and/or workflow improvement opportunities and opportunities for automation of processes 

  • Write and regularly review process documentation and/or provide feedback and assistance with documentation 

  • Attend team meetings and townhalls   

 

 Role Requirements 

 

Crucial :

  • 0-2 years’ proven experience in Accounts Payable 

  • Strong people interaction and relationship building skills 

  • Sound data entry and administration experience 

  • Sophisticated MS Office skills, with high degree of confidence in MS Excel  

  • Experience using financial systems including ERP and electronic workflow solutions (Spectra PF and Maconomy desirable) 

  • Solid understanding of AP principles, practices and regulations 

  • Has knowledge and understanding of passing journals 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Flexible and adaptable demeanor amidst an environment of constant change 

 

 ​Desirable: 

Financially orientated qualification e.g. Accounting certificate, Diploma, ACCA, CPA 

Familiarity with account reconciliation
