Role Description
The primary responsibilities are to be in charge of a specific % of revenue growth on a yearly basis; building strong client relationships, make a proven difference to the client’s business, and for overall client satisfaction. A Director manages a high performing team of 5-8 with responsibility for its people, clients and business delivery and growth. They are also accountable for overseeing the entire delivery process, deliverables, client engagement and consultancy, providing insightful, value-added market intelligence to new and existing clients. As part of the management team, responsibilities include business development, people management and financial management along with business strategy implementation.
- Account Management
- Lead accounts to oversee the team deliver all account deliverables while working to agreed budgets, and course-corrects where required
- Ensure all deliverables meet client needs and generate strong insight and impact for clients business
- Delegate to team effectively, providing constructive feedback and support for other account members to ensure account responsibilities and deliverables are met to a high standard in agreed timelines
- Ensure account efficiency and profitability across all accounts
- Resource planning across the business with senior team to ensure all accounts meet business and client needs
- Consult on operational processes (including 3rd party supplier relationships) and course-corrects where required
- Create and drive SAPs for key clients
- Drive account growth
- Analysis and Insights Expertise
- Design appropriate solutions to drive meaningful insight for clients’ needs and their business
- Formulate, articulate and validate hypotheses to help build appropriate, relevant and impactful stories
- Ensure integration and synthesise data from various sources (e.g. sales data, media spend data)
- Ensure insights are translated into engaging stories with clear and concise implications that will help clients make better decisions
- Lead analysis brainstorms
- Integrate knowledge of brand tools, philosophies and techniques and applies these appropriately to the design, analysis and interpretation of projects to deliver meaningful insights
- Identify opportunities to deepen insights for clients using further analysis including brand and external learnings as appropriate
- Client Management and Consultancy
- Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of your clients and their business in all interactions with clients. Deliverables and analysis conducted applies this knowledge and commercial implications and realities. Knowledge including;
- Key clients, key stakeholders and their needs
- The client’s business and strategy / challenges
- Client brands and communication activity
- Client markets and competitors
- Uses strategic view of client’s business to effectively communicate client expectations, strategy and company policy to the rest of the project team
- Deliver effective advice and consultancy for your clients
- Instigate and facilitate client discussions to better understand their business issues
- Expert interpretation of data and ability to articulate insights clearly and impactfully
- Provide a comprehensive point of view on specific client issues aligned with brand philosophies
- Bring in relevant experts from Kantar to provide holistic consultancy to clients
- Develop strong relationships with clients to the extent they are first port of call across all accounts for strategic opinions and advice
- Lead presentations on more complex projects and to run workshop sessions, adapting reporting styles to the needs of different clients, audiences and situations
- Demonstrate confidence and strong interpersonal skills in client facing situations
- Chair client and agency meetings
- Deploys 'Goldstar' (Signature/GreenWorks) client management model to deepen relationships
- Advise clients and problem solve client issues independently with NO supervision from manager
- Develops and implements account management plans for key clients
- Generate ideas and consult with account teams to develop case studies to demonstrate value we bring for clients.
- Ensure impact reviews meet required standards, and include client feedback where appropriate for all presentations

- Able to effectively and proactively manage overall team and individual workload and direct appropriate usage of available resources
- Work with line reports to identify and set clear objectives to develop and nurture their careers according to line reports' career aspirations, and articulates performance against these objectives
- Coach and develop team members through constructive feedback to identify areas of strength, and areas required for improvement
- Take immediate action on under-performers, have formal conversation on performance issue and follow up with documentation
- Effectively delegates tasks where appropriate
- Mentor juniors on development areas
- Participate in the recruitment and training of more junior team members as appropriate
- Responsible in ensuring that new employees have completed their induction training
- Responsible for facilitating career development across the team, balancing with the needs of the business
- Leads performance management process, as and when required
- Sets clear and timely 3-month probation and year-end objectives for direct reports and approves the same for direct reports’ reports
- Manage and develop a high performing and engaged team of 5-8 with 1-3 direct line reports and creates a culture which fosters team collaboration, growth and learning
- Business Development and Financial Management
- Build strong relationships and deliver to account responsibilities sufficiently to retain clients and maintain existing business
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow existing client business, revenue and profitability
- Actively seek new business opportunities
- Develop and implement new business strategy with the senior team
- Respond to and drive new business opportunities from time to time through:
- Liaising with clients to understand their needs
- Designing solutions
- Preparing accurate costs
- Preparing proposals
- Presenting in pitches
- Review account and project profitability to understand opportunities to maximize financial performance for future project
- Account forecasting of accounts and new business
- Complete timesheets accurately and on time
- Is responsible for delivering on set GM targets and maintaining profitability on accounts
- Ensure Finance processes are followed through:
- Client Contracts
- PO
- Billing
Role Requirements
- At least 8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, market research and consumer insights
- Experience in the areas of brand measurement/brand health tracking/brand strategy highly advantageous
- Adept at research and analysis and possess excellent report writing, editing and communication skills
- Have acquired an excellent understanding of client needs and possess a real ability to address strategic business questions by proposing innovative responses
- Organized, a problem solver, self-directed, and demonstrate leadership and initiative, while at the same time being a committed team player
- Proven competence in one or more of the following areas of expertise: project management overview, brand management, market understanding, people management
- Experience in leading and mentoring medium sized to large teams
- Strong communications and presentation skills with fluency in Thai and English language
