This new role has been created to focus exclusively on the Numerator International business in Morroco within Kantar.

The Accountant for Morocco will be a vital member of Numerator International finance team, reporting to the Numerator International Controller in the Control & Accounting function, but with key collaborators in the Finance Business Partner structure.

Numerator, a data and tech company serving the North American market research space, has combined with Worldpanel, to create a new global consumer data company. This new company forms a powerhouse of technology enabled consumer insights from nearly five billion consumers worldwide, driving innovation and strategic solutions for thousands of customers.

You will play a key role in ensuring the robust day-to-day operations of the remote team with a focus on producing accurate and timely management information, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations and liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure all reporting requirements are delivered with quality and on-time in line with reporting calendar.
  • Liaise with Business Partners to ensure production of routine and ad hoc analysis and reports that highlight areas for further attention and analysis.
  • Support the implementation of new business processes working with the global and regional teams.
  • Ensure an appropriate controls environment is in place working alongside internal audit and compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits, including ensuring timely clearance of auditor findings and management recommendations.
  • Review of local filings including tax and VAT.
  • Work with a remote team, based in India.

The skills and capabilties that we are looking for:

  • Member of a professional accounting body, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Good knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS
  • Understanding of US GAAP would be desirable
  • Previous experience with SalesForce, Netsuite, ADP and OneStream would be desirable
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience of practical application of accounting requirements
  • Experience of working with an offshored transaction processing team and managing systems change and automation processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and spoken
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships across the business
  • Displays a systematic approach to thinking and working
  • Attention to detail and an inquisitive nature
  • Comfortable handling key relationships with external finance parties and service providers
  • A great teammate with the ability to work effectively with employees at different levels of an organisation
  • An ability to work simultaneously and effectively to progress several different tasks whilst to working to tight deadlines, including an ability to effectively prioritise.
