Quality Assurance Engineer, Portugal

Tell us about your role and what your day to day looks like.

I am a Quality Assurance Engineer, and as such I aim to make sure our applications meet the standards that our clients deserve and expect. I work within a software development team, in which we work towards achieving the best possible technical solutions for our clients.

In terms of the technology itself, I work with BDD, C#, Gherkin and Specflow. I work with APIs and Frontend applications in Angular.

What is it like to be part of our Technology team?

My team’s dynamic is great. Everyone has a voice, and everyone’s opinion is valued. Each person has their own individual skills that together contribute to the same goal and everyone is always eager to help.

The great work environment is one of the reasons I decided to join Kantar, as well as having heard about the company’s success. It’s very exciting to start this project with the Tech team.

Why is technology important to Kantar?

The future lies in Technology. Nowadays, technology is pretty much present in everything that we do and consume as a client. So, it is important for Kantar to be in the forefront of the best Technology solutions, so we can be competitive and provide even better products for our clients.

What inspires you to succeed in your role?

The search for excellence in what we deliver, inspires me to do my best every day. Also, I find that going out of my comfort zone is an exciting challenge.

What might people not realize about your job?

This job means learning new things on a daily basis, because technologies are always evolving.

What would do if you didn’t do this?

I would probably do something related with caring for animals, something hands on, where I could feel I was making a difference in their wellbeing, health and preservation.
