Tell us about your role and what your day to day looks like.
I work as a Partner in the Consulting Division in Australia. My role falls into three core aspects: managing and leading client work, people management and development, and finally operational and commercial excellence within the division – I love the variety and different challenges that each component of my job offers me, and I feel I am always learning and developing as a consequence.
How do you collaborate with your wider team?
There are approximately 22 people in my team and across this team we have experts in different pillars– almost all the work we do is ‘programs’ of work, rather than standalone projects, that touch different aspects of what we do. So, we are constantly collaborating within the team. However, we also collaborate heaps with the broader Kantar business both here in Australia and in multiple other markets. The work we do often includes multi-market work that is led from our team in Australia but Kantar teams across the globe help us in the service of this work.
What do you enjoy most about working at Kantar?
It is constantly evolving; I have been with the business for eight years now and over that time I have seen constant change. Now to some that might sound off putting but to me it means I have not stood still – I have had to grow and evolve as our offer has done so and this has been very rewarding.
What is the culture like at Kantar?
It is hard work but fun, vibrant and intellectually challenging. It is a culture where all have a voice, regardless of role or level and all have a contribution to make, a culture where different perspectives and views are welcomed.
How does Kantar value diversity and inclusion?
I am on the Inclusion and Diversity Steering Committee here in Australia, so I am a tad biased, but yes, absolutely. We can always do better and will always strive to so do – but Kantar is committed to diversity, and this comes through in the team we have and the initiatives we support.
What would do if you didn’t do this?
I would be a primary school teacher.
