Grazyna talks to us about what it’s like to work in a global company.

Boardgame fan Grazyna is based in our Digital Research Centre in Poland. As a subject matter expert in some of our products, she works with teams across the business to help them make sure they can deliver exactly what our clients need.

Tell us about your role and what your day to day looks like.

As a part of Digital Research Centre (DRC) member, we focus on campaign effectiveness measurement studies. During my day as a Cross-Media Subject Matter Expert I provide consultancy to the client service teams and DRC teams on non-standard designs, support questionnaire creation, as well as verify deliverables. Delivering training and refresher sessions for DRC internal teams and our client service partners is also a part of my job. Last but not least, I am also responsible for maintaining knowledge base for products within our portfolio.

What do you enjoy most about working at Kantar?

Even though we’re a big international company, the atmosphere which is created by our colleagues makes you feel like a part of a family business. Apart from that, there is a huge support from Senior employees to newbies. One can never feel left alone on your own.

What inspires you to succeed in your role?

Mart Twain once said: “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life”. When you are a sociologist, sometimes it is quite challenging to turn off your thinking. Even when my working hours are finished, I really enjoy looking at the world with my market-research glasses. Such a view motivates me and when I see how my colleagues enjoy the meetings I do for them, it’s such a great feeling.

What make you proud to work here?

Working in one of the biggest market research agencies and seeing what my colleagues from other divisions do for clients makes me proud to be a part of this community. Yet, pure pleasure for me is to see when our recommendations to the clients are being followed through in their work.

How do you find the culture?

The work environment at Kantar is very inclusive, open and understanding. On top of that, we focus on efficient on-boarding and supporting our new employees which I believe is an amazing feature.

How does Kantar value diversity and inclusion?

One of our initiatives is to build an Inclusion & Diversity group. Our goal is to build a shared culture of responsibility and accountability. It is amazing to see the approach represented by this group and spread it to the whole company.

Two of my colleagues from the DRC are also part of Pride Employee Resource Group Global Leadership Committee and I am extremely proud of their involvement. Apart from global initiatives, we also support it the on local level here at the DRC.

What would do if you didn’t do this?

It is very difficult to image doing something else, yet, since I enjoy spending time with people and organizing things, I think I would work in an event management business.
