Data Production Engineer
About the Role
This role is at the heart of our audience measurement technologies, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of data that powers critical industry insights.
As a Data Production Engineer, you will manage the full data production lifecycle—from audio watermarking and system integration to quality assurance and client delivery—while working across on-premise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and third-party integrations. The role also includes maintaining and optimizing proprietary business applications, developing process automation, and ensuring compliance with corporate IT and security standards. Close collaboration with both local and global teams will be key to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Integration & Client Support
- Support clients with proprietary software/hardware integrations, particularly audio watermarking technologies.
- Act as the primary technical contact for broadcasters, ensuring seamless integration and timely issue resolution.
2. Data Production & Quality Assurance
- Oversee daily data processing from measurement devices, ensuring methodological compliance.
- Monitor production systems (servers, pipelines, applications) with round-the-clock (24/7) coverage and respond rapidly to incidents.
- Analyze QC reports, identify anomalies, and prepare validation reports when required.
- Escalate and track production issues with development teams to resolution.
- Ensure accurate and timely data delivery to clients in line with SLAs.
3. Documentation & Process Optimization
- Document and maintain system topologies, workflows, and integration processes.
- Build and support automation tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain a structured knowledge base of issues, resolutions, and best practices.
- Generate reports on process flows, data integrity, and system performance.
4. Application & Project Support
- Administer and maintain proprietary business applications, ensuring stability and performance.
- Support application upgrades, migrations, and third-party integrations in collaboration with global teams.
- Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
5. Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Communicate technical processes and methodologies to clients, auditors, and committees.
- Deliver technical presentations and provide expert support as needed.
- Collaborate with local and global IT/operations teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies and alignment with strategic goals.
Technical Skills & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of audio signal processing and watermark embedding technologies.
- Familiarity with broadcast systems (analog/digital radio, encoders/decoders).
- Proficiency in SQL and data processing infrastructure.
- Linux/Unix administration and scripting (Bash, Python).
- Experience managing proprietary business applications.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration platforms.
- Awareness of data security principles and compliance standards.

Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations, data infrastructure, or production systems.
- Military service completed (if applicable to geography).
- Certifications in IT process management, data governance, or business application administration are a plus.
