Internal Controls Analyst – India KBS

Role Overview
The Internal Controls Analyst will play a key role in supporting the control assurance programme within India Kantar Business Services, with exposure across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Reporting to the Senior Manager this role focuses on testing, documenting, and reporting on financial and operational controls to ensure alignment with Kantar’s Minimum Control Standards (MCS). The Analyst will provide essential support to the regional controls team, helping strengthen governance and business integrity across APAC markets.
Role Description
- Assist in embedding Kantar’s Minimum Control Standards (MCS) across APAC by supporting senior managers in control-related initiatives.
- Execute control testing in line with the approved testing calendar, both virtually and on-site, under the guidance of the Internal Senior Controls Manager.
- Document test results accurately, evaluate risk and impact, and prepare clear reports for senior management review.
- Support remediation tracking by monitoring corrective actions and following up with business units to ensure timely closure of control gaps.
- Prepare reporting packs summarizing testing outcomes, deficiencies, and recommendations for leadership and governance committees.
- Participate in ongoing monitoring and quality reviews to ensure continuous improvement of the control environment.
Role Requirements & Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or business process improvement.
- Strong understanding of finance processes such as AP/AR/R2D, risks, and controls within mid-size or listed organisations or shared services.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, SOX) and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools such as Audit Board and Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and support senior stakeholders.
