About the job
As a Senior Data Business Analyst in the Data & Analytics team, you will connect business collaborators and technical teams. You will ensure organisational needs are clearly understood and turned into actionable solutions. Your efforts will improve decision making across Kantar and help craft the analytical tools that deliver real business results and support data-driven strategies.
You will be responsible for gathering and clarifying requirements, defining and managing feature specifications, and coordinating acceptance criteria and test cases. Working collaboratively in an agile environment, you will help foster a strong data culture by strengthening data literacy and delivering reliable insights! Your role is integral to the team's mission of enabling data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
Job Goals
Engage proactively with senior collaborators to gather, clarify, and prioritise business requirements, ensuring expectations are managed throughout project delivery.
Facilitate user acceptance testing to confirm deliverables meet business needs and communicate feedback effectively between business and development teams.
Advise business teams on crafting modern dashboards and analytical storytelling, bringing to bear wireframes and interaction design to build intuitive, data-driven experiences.
Build a solid grasp of data integration across multiple source systems, turning raw data into practical business insights.
Contribute to the exploration and implementation of advanced agentic AI approaches, driving the generation and activation of insights across the organisation.
Ideal Skills & Capabilities
Advanced expertise in Power BI and Power Query, with a strong grasp of classical modelling techniques, grain and granularity, filter propagation, and guidelines for logic placement within reporting layers.
Highly skilled in Excel, including building robust spreadsheets linked to external data sources, complemented by working knowledge of SQL and DAX for effective data exploration and validation.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric data engineering tools—such as pipelines, notebooks, and lakehouses—enabling seamless data integration and transformation.
Proven ability to build visually engaging and user-friendly wireframes, incorporating drill-through navigation, dynamic titles, tooltips, conditional formatting, and sound UX principles to drive insightful analysis.
Outstanding analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex datasets and transforming them into meaningful, actionable business insights that aid organisational decision-making.
