About the job
As a Data Loss Prevention and Insider Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting Kantar’s sensitive data by shaping, improving, and advising on data protection controls across the organisation. Your work will help reduce risk, support regulatory compliance, and strengthen trust with clients and colleagues by ensuring information is handled responsibly and securely.
Working within the Technology team, you will manage and enhance Microsoft Purview capabilities, contribute to policy development, and support incident response activities. You’ll collaborate closely with Security Operations and provide guidance to junior analysts, helping raise standards and consistency across the function. Your contribution will directly support Kantar’s wider technology transformation and risk management objectives.
Job Goals
Implement and continuously improve Data Loss Prevention and Insider Risk controls to protect sensitive information.
Manage and enhance Microsoft Purview features, including DLP, Insider Risk Management, and Information Protection.
Investigate security alerts and incidents, supporting effective triage, resolution, and risk mitigation.
Develop reporting, metrics, and evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness of DLP controls and support audits.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory and security requirements.
Provide quality assurance and guidance to junior analysts, supporting capability development within the team.
Ideal Skills & Capabilities
Strong expertise in Data Loss Prevention concepts, controls, and tooling, including hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
Practical knowledge of information security and data privacy frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST, and GDPR.
Proven ability to analyse, investigate, and respond to security incidents using SOC-aligned approaches.
Experience producing meaningful security reporting and insights using tools such as Power BI or equivalent.
Working knowledge of threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to inform detection and response activities.
